Permission to Decide

Permission to Decide

One of the hardest parts of being new parents is making decisions on what to expend your energy on. 😂 I laugh because you’re going all day, and so to me something has to feel really worth it to give additional energy to.

Our great friends Kim & Todd invited us to the Festival of Trees - Cody, WY which I really wanted to experience with them. And I was IN…until the morning of. I knew I had a long day ahead of me, one of those go-go-go days.

But I am SO glad we went. Connections with our good friends, hugs with people we haven’t seen for a while, seeing the joy in Wyatt’s eyes, and being inspired by great people doing good things in the world. Especially the two featured non profits Bright Futures Mentoring and Bears of Honor.

So how do you decide if something is a true yes inside of you? Because it’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to need rest. You don’t have to do everything.

I decide by giving myself full permission for either the yes or the no. Both are okay. Then feeling which one lands better in my body. Does the yes feel better or the no? Which one sparkles?

You also learn from each decision. You start to know, in my case, how many clients are too many in a day, how much down time you need in a given week, how many breaks in the day help you to feel better, how many hugs and kisses you require from your little  And then you adjust accordingly.

So grateful we went and for the love of our little community! ❤️ And even more grateful day by day for the work I do that helps me so much.
