Sparkle vs. Comfort

Sparkle vs. Comfort

A lot of the coaching I do comes down to one thing:

Helping people stop living from should and start tuning into sparkle.

It makes total sense that sparkle feels confusing at first.

Most of us grew up learning to be responsible, reliable, productive, kind, agreeable… basically professional box-checkers

So when something feels different, lighter, warmer, alive, it can actually register as… threatening.

Like, “Wait… am I allowed to want that?”

A quick story:

One afternoon, not long ago, I stepped away from my laptop for a quick break.

My brain was full of deadlines and decisions and all the responsible adult noise we tell ourselves is important.

I walked outside to see Athena, my horse, just to get a moment of air.

I remember what I was wearing, the chill in the air, the mild anxiety I felt at the moment, looking at her across the field.

And then, clear as day, something inside me spoke.

It wasn't a generated thought. It was a voice.

“You need to stop the path you’re on. Open Soul Savvy again. Be with Wyatt.”

It terrified me. Truly. Because it made no logical sense. It was the opposite of what I should do by every practical measure.

But even with the fear, the message sparkled.

It sparkled like diamonds. Warm. Bright. Alive. A knowing that didn’t shout, but shimmered.

That was my sparkle moment, the one that shifted everything.

When clients start practicing sparkle, they often feel confused about how it’s different from comfort.

They know what doesn't feel good, but often don't know what does feel good.

Comfort is familiar. Comfort is safe. But often we don't LIKE the pattern even though it's comfortable.

You might watch tv for 4 hours straight. And while it feels comfortable, it doesn't sparkle.

Comfort isn’t bad at all. But it isn't where your soul stretches.

Sparkle is where your life expands.

So here’s a little coaching moment for you today. Ask yourself:

What in my life feels like obligation?
What feels comfortable, but not sparkly?
And what, even if it’s tiny, feels sparkly and alive-making?

Here's why this matters so much:

When you find sparkle, and you have the courage to embrace it, everything gets easier and results flow fast!
