New “Normal” Days
New “Normal” Days
Sometimes on normal days, I find myself in “rushing” energy. Got to get stuff done. And I know that everyone says, “Enjoy every moment.” And I’m going to use the word “but” here, BUT that can be so rigorous. 😫
As a coach I am always asking myself, how do I take really hard, rigorous things, and make them easier, more accessible, more spiritually active.
Over the course of driving for the last 5 days, the last hour of the drive, I climb into the back seat and hang out with Wyatt to make the last stretch easier for him. One night I was showing him the show “Disneyland Fun” sing a long on my phone.
I couldn’t see the show, I could only see Wyatt’s face for 30 minutes. I was just staring at his face, studying him, appreciating him, smiling when he’d look up to share a giggle.
I was in what Thoreau called “The Gospel According to the present moment.”
And I went “Ah, that’s it. That’s the answer.” It was actually more of a “Duh!” because I’ve been telling my clients “Love is spelled T.I.M.E.”
The answer is to create intentional connection time. And you don’t have to be a new mom to get the value of this.
With your siblings, friends, partner, or most importantly, with yourself.
I for sure will take intentional connection time with me beyond this journey 😍🥹❤️🙏🏼
