The Power of One

The Power of One.

Each holiday season, I find myself reflecting on the power of one.

One kind word can change someone's day. One idea can change your life. One person can shift the course of history.

Those who celebrate Christmas may be honoring the birth of Jesus, a life that demonstrated the power of one.

Jesus stood with the marginalized, the misunderstood, the brokenhearted. He didn’t focus on the conditions people were living in.

He believed in what lived inside of them, the power of God, far more than the appearance of circumstance.

And if you celebrate Hanukkah, there’s a story that beautifully reflects this same truth.

After reclaiming their Temple, the Maccabees found only one day’s worth of oil to keep the eternal flame burning.

By all logic, that should have meant one day of light, and then darkness. Yet that single day’s worth of oil burned for eight.

To me, that is the power of one.

Maybe you don't need a million dollars, or the perfect business plan, or the surrounding circumstances to change completely.

Maybe you just need a tiny fraction of that and a little bit of faith.

Across traditions, we are reminded that we are not limited by what we see.

There is so much more available to us than we can even imagine.

May this season remind you that magic and wonder and light are dancing all across the Universe, and you are part of that.

So if anyone can experience miracles, why not you?

Sending you so much love this holiday season, on Christmas, and always.

You have certainly brightened my life, and I am grateful to you. ❤️🎄
